Meee

Hi, I’m Michael
A technical level designer with roughly 7 years of experience in Unreal Engine, specializing in building immersive, well-optimized levels and gameplay level ingredients. I’m currently based in Romania, open to on-site opportunities or remote roles with studios worldwide!

Background & experience

Most recently I served as lead level designer at Verdant Games, an indie studio I co-founded for 3 years. My primary project there was Sip of Sanity, a cozy-horror delivery game set in an off-grid town engulfed in mystery, with a demo releasing on Steam Q2 of 2026. Beyond the level design work, I also handled community management and contributed to studio wide operations. I moved back to Romania very recently and I’m now looking forward on growing as a developer sharpening my craft, taking on new challenges, and contributing to a team where execution matters.

What I bring 
I bring lead-level knowledge of pipelines, design process, and cross-discipline collaboration but I’m here to execute and grow, not run things. That means you get someone who understands the full picture of a level from prototype to presentable, without the overhead of managing a senior hire.

Perforce is a vital software for a healthy colloborative process and project development while the ability to navigate the software, write proper submit changes and execute pipelines is essential
Jira
AS a developer who values work ethics and pipelines Jira is a wonderfull tool to plan and execute on sprint goals while keeping a well-organized structure. following such structures and pipelines helps producers do their job and ensure the project's health
Blender
Using blender allows me to design and implement architectural strucutres in unreal and create modular kits for my self when exploring game mechanics and feel during my gym investigations. Through this process I am also able to visualize and communicate ideas better.
Miro
USING MIRO to ideate, collaborate, explore and have a bird's eye view of the project vision and direction has helped me and my teams develope vairous game projects. It also serves as an amazing tool to mind map and explore ideas
